Faqs

What is an ROL, Road Occupancy License, and how long does it take to be approved?

An ROL gives you official permission to occupy the road space during a specific time. ROLs are processed through the Transport Management Centre (TMC) and take up to ten working days to be assessed. Not every situation requires an ROL. TFM will take all the work out of the application process for you so you can focus on your project requirements. Ask us how.

What is TFM’s minimum hire charge for Traffic Control?

Our minimum hire period is 4 hours, inclusive of travel time. TMA and Advance Warning Vehicle have a minimum hire period of 6 hours. Reach out to us for more information about our terms and conditions.

Can you provide a project specific quote?

Yes, TFM’s Traffic Planning Team will assess your Traffic Management requirements based on information you are able to provide, and then tailor a quote specific to the project. And if you don’t know what you need, we can help you with that too. Ask us for more information.

What is the lead time on Traffic Control?

Like most things in life, the more notice the better, however we can meet your last minute traffic control requirements as well. Give us a call to make a booking.

Do TFM’s Truck Mounted Attenuators/TMA’s/Bump Trucks come with a driver?

Yes, our TMAs come with an accredited driver/traffic controller – did you know it could be cheaper for you to hire a TMA with a driver from TFM than to dry hire? Get in touch to find out more.
